SUMMARY:LA Citizenship Clinics (in-person: Mandarin)
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with local community organizations\, Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California hosts free citizenship application workshops where our staff and volunteers help verify eligibility for citizenship\, complete the citizenship application\, and prepare a fee waiver request for individuals who qualify. \nThe first Thursday of every month will always be in-person\, Mandarin clinic at the Alhambra Library. In addition\, we distribute USCIS-issued study materials to prepare applicants for the test and interview. In addition\, Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California trains community organizations throughout California and across the country to provide citizenship application services. \nAn appointment is required prior to attending our Citizenship Clinics. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate and uplift the voices of the QTAPI community at the AAPI Queer Joy Coalition’s 3rd Jade Jubilee  \nJoin us as we celebrate our diverse and beautiful queer and trans API community\, our community partners\, and our 2026 official bill package.  \nThis year\, we’re proud to honor: LGBTQ Caucus Chair\, Assemblymember Christopher Ward with the Allyship Award and we’ll have performances from Sacramento’s fiercest QTAPI drag queens\, PrincessB and Lotus!  \nFood and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for the first 80 attendees. Attendance at this event by a public official will constitute acceptance of a reportable gift.  \nThe AAPI Queer Joy Coalition was founded in 2024 and is a partnership between Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL)\, Hmong Innovating Politics (HIP)\, Lavender Phoenix\, Search to Involve Pilipinos (SIPA) and Vietnamese Rainbow of Orange County (VROC).  \n\n			\n				RSVP Here
