Our Asian Language Legal Intake Project (ALLIP) provides toll-free hotlines in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Filipino (Tagalog), Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi, and Khmer.

The intake team also provides help in English, and other languages.

Callers receive resources, counseling or referral to an Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California attorney, counselor, or another legal aid organization, on issues such as domestic violence, family law, immigration, citizenship, employment law, discrimination, racism, health access, and incidents of hate. Our services are open to individuals of all races and ethnicities, without restriction.

ALLIP was launched in 2002 to provide direct contact between limited English speaking immigrants and legal advocates and receives more than 10,000 calls each year. As the only Asian language legal intake program in Southern California with trained bilingual staff, it is a critical resource for indigent monolingual or limited English speaking immigrants in need of legal assistance.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California’s hotlines prioritize assistance to low-income persons and everyone in need in the following areas of law: incidents of hate and racism, discrimination, housing rights, family law, domestic violence, immigration, employment, health access, and civil rights.
