WE CONDEMN FALSE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST EAST WEST BANK CEO
LOS ANGELES, CA — Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL) issues the following statement in response to the inflammatory claims led by U.S. Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Texas) against Dominic Ng, East West Bank Chairman and CEO.
“We condemn the false and ridiculous accusation of espionage against Dominic Ng, Chairman and CEO of East West Bank. Dominic is an Asian American business leader who has always championed U.S. economic interests throughout his distinguished career. Dominic is a proud American who is committed to social justice and equity. Targeting him is racist and yet another xenophobic attack that follows similar falsehoods made against U.S. Rep. Judy Chu. We demand an end to this ongoing targeting of prominent members of our AAPI community.”
AJSOCAL is a social justice organization that protects and strengthens the rights and dignity of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, especially those that are most disadvantaged. We believe in an inclusive, equitable world for all in which AAPIs are empowered and thrive.
