Gun Violence Restraining Order Training @ Monterey Park City Hall

The Monterey Park Community Healing Fund will host free training on gun violence prevention and restraining orders on Jan. 18, nearly one year after the Jan. 21, 2023, mass shooting at Star Ballroom Dance Studio.

From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Monterey Park City Hall, attendees will be joined by speakers from the Los Angeles judicial system to outline the rights citizens have through California’s red flag law, which enables stakeholders to seek a gun violence restraining order against a person suspected of being a danger to themselves or others.
