GOFUNDME CREATED FOR MONTEREY PARK VICTIMS BY COALITION OF AAPI ORGS
LOS ANGELES, CA — A GoFundMe for the victims of the January 21st Monterey Park shooting has been launched by a coalition of local Asian American and Pacific Islander-serving community-based organizations. The title of the fund is MONTEREY PARK LUNAR NEW YEAR VICTIMS’ FUND which will provide financial support to families who have experienced loss and those who have been physically harmed. The coalition includes Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL), Stop AAPI Hate, Asian Pacific Community Fund, The Asian American Foundation, Stand with Asian Americans, Gold House, AAPI Equity Alliance, Chinatown Service Center, Asian Youth Center, and Project by Project. AJSOCAL will be administering this fund and will be working closely with the coalition to deliver 100% of the funds received to the victims and the surviving families.
